Sales Director

Background:

Biome Analytics is on a mission to to help doctors and hospitals deliver better cardiovascular care, to more patients, at a lower cost. Biome is the leading cardiovascular performance company dedicated to helping doctors and health systems deliver the most affordable, accessible, and quality care. Biome is seeking a driven, experienced, and aggressive Sales Director to support our efforts to identify and engage prospective clients and to drive growth in new clients and revenue.

Position Objectives:

  • Represent Biome’s products and services, through virtual and in-person meetings, using a combination of Overview Decks and Product Demonstrations, as well as strategic and creative follow-up interactions with stakeholders.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas by successfully identifying targets, scheduling meetings, cultivating champions and supporters, and working through final agreement and signature.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedule to call on potential customers, preparing colleagues for upcoming interactions, and managing pipeline to closure.
  • Actively collaborate with Biome teams—sales, marketing, product, and client services to communicate the value of Biome solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations.
  • Strategically and aggressively lead sales activities to generate alignment with client need and then drive (and maintain) momentum through sales process.
  • Maintain working relationships with internal teams to learn about products, services, client success stories, as well as external market challenges and underlying business case for Biome support.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle objections thoughtfully.
  • Create and deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to showcase how the analytics and services can address the client’s pain points and improve their operations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process.
  • Prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other required documentation for executive-level presentations.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes affecting the Cardiovascular and Healthcare software market.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a sales team.
  • Maintain CRM with preparation, follow-up and sales status.
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations.

Attributes, Skills and Qualifications Required for Position:

  • Five or more years of sales experience within health care, software and solutions; Analytics and/or consulting strongly preferred.
  • Customer-focused with a deep, genuine interest in improving health care.
  • Excellent communication (written, conversational and presentation), interpersonal, problem solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
  • Ability to balance tenacity and momentum in sales process with grace and respect.
  • Willingness to actively engage a spirit of feedback and constant improvement.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and address client challenges effectively.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily virtual, with active use of Microsoft Teams and other applications
  • Up to 25% travel (post pandemic)
