Mr. Andrews is currently Senior Vice President, Cardiac and Neurological Services at RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated health care delivery system. He is the executive lead for both the cardiovascular and neuroscience service lines at the system level, providing overall direction and strategic, clinical and operational leadership across eleven hospitals yielding over $1.5 billion in combined revenues in those areas alone.
“Our mission is to help health systems and their providers use advanced analytic and performance management software to drive high performance cardiovascular and neurological care,” said Biome president, Michael Thompson. “Jim’s vast experience in cardiovascular and neuroscience care, working with the largest and most comprehensive heart and vascular networks in the US, will help us transform cardiovascular care delivery with greater efficiencies.”
Previous to RWJBarnabas Health, Andrews served in a dual role as the Administrative Director of the Heart & Vascular Center and Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis for Surgical, Procedural and Imaging Services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard affiliated teaching hospital in Boston, MA. It is at BWH, and during his master degree program at Brown University, where Jim helped to develop an Integrated and Multidisciplinary Service Line model with a foundation predicated on data transparency, complex performance analytics, and actionable margin driving initiatives. Jim’s experience in this area and his in-depth knowledge of establishing sustainable patient-centric programs will prove incredibly useful as Biome continues its evolution in meeting all of our client’s informatic and performance needs.
“I’m thrilled to join the Board of Directors,” said Andrews. “I have seen first-hand how Biome’s collective of innovative thinkers and superb programmers is pushing the boundaries of how healthcare leaders quantify and aggregate their vast amount of quality, efficiency, and financial performance measures to drive value. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with the leadership team to help drive new opportunities for growth.”
